Forestry First Aid

This qualification has been designed to provide the knowledge and competence for a learner to deal with emergency first aid situations in a forestry/agricultural environment. This qualification is designed to supplement a first aiders First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification and covers the recommended topics stated in the forestry commission first aid policy 2015.

How long is the course?

2 hours. We can offer this as a stand alone course or this can potentially be bolted on to a Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day) or First Aid at Work (3 day) course as long as all the regulated contact hours are met, please contact us below to discuss your options.

What subjects are covered?

  • Emergency planning and remote medical assistance

  • Catastrophic bleed control

  • Crush injuries

  • Effects of extreme cold

  • Lyme disease

What qualification will I achieve?

F.A.A accredited level 3 award in Forestry first aid which is valid for three years.  

How many people can attend a course?

A maximum of 12 students per one instructor. We can train more in one session however we will be required to bring in additional trainers which will affect costs.

Note: due to being a short course we will need to charge for a minimum of four students.
